About Todoshi

Todoshi is a task, project, checklist, and collaboration application for iOS. It helps you organize work with personal projects on your device and shared projects with other members.

Todoshi supports:

  • Personal and local projects

  • Tasks and subtasks

  • Member permissions

Personal vs. Shared Projects

Personal projects are stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device persistence technologies (including SwiftData). They are not uploaded to Todoshi’s collaboration backend unless you explicitly share or convert them through supported in-app sharing behavior.

Shared projects use Google Firebase and Google Cloud services for collaboration. This may include:

  • Project information
  • Tasks and subtasks
  • Checklist items
  • Member information
  • Task assignments
  • Permissions
  • Comments
  • Collaboration metadata

Account Data

If you choose to sign in, Todoshi may store:

  • A Firebase account identifier
  • Your display name
  • An email address provided by your authentication provider
  • Your Todoshi ID
  • Authentication provider information required for sign-in

If you use Sign in with Apple, you may choose Hide My Email. In that case Apple may provide a private relay email address. Todoshi does not attempt to discover your hidden personal email address.

Todoshi ID

Todoshi generates a permanent unique account identifier called your Todoshi ID (for example: TD-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXX). It is used to identify your account consistently within Todoshi and is separate from your email, display name, or how a Firebase user ID may appear in backend systems.

Collaboration

When you join or share a project, other authorized project members may see information required for collaboration, such as:

  • Display name
  • Role
  • Assigned tasks
  • Comments
  • Completion attribution
  • Relevant task and project activity

Project owners may see a member’s Todoshi ID where the app supports it. Project owners do not see other members’ private email addresses through collaboration features.

Comments and User Content

Comments and other collaborative content in a shared project are visible to authorized members of that project according to permissions. Historical comment attribution may remain after a member leaves or is removed so that project history stays understandable.

Files and Attachments

Task resources and attachments (such as links, text notes, and imported files) are managed in the app’s local storage on your device. Todoshi does not upload arbitrary file attachments to Firebase Storage for cloud synchronization. Some resources remain local depending on type and project mode. Do not assume that every binary attachment is synchronized to the cloud.

Notifications

Todoshi may schedule local notifications on your device for reminders, due dates, and optional daily or task-related summaries where you enable them. You can disable notifications for Todoshi in iOS Settings. Todoshi does not send remote push notifications for collaboration activity in the current release.

Todoshi uses the following third-party services to operate sign-in and shared-project collaboration:

These providers process data according to their own policies when you use their authentication or cloud services.

Analytics and Advertising

Todoshi does not use third-party advertising SDKs. The production app does not include third-party analytics or behavioral tracking SDKs. Todoshi does not sell your personal data.

Data Sharing

Todoshi does not sell personal data. Data may be processed by service providers required to operate authentication and shared-project collaboration (such as Google Firebase). Content you create in a shared project is shared only with authorized project members according to project membership and permissions.

Data Retention

Local personal-project data remains on your device until you remove it or delete the app, subject to iOS behavior. Cloud collaboration data may remain while needed for an active shared project and your account. Historical collaboration attribution may be retained where necessary to preserve understandable project history. Todoshi does not promise fixed retention periods beyond what is needed to provide the service.

Account and Data Deletion

You can permanently delete your Todoshi account from Settings → Profile → Delete Account.

Account deletion removes your Todoshi account, associated cloud collaboration personal data (including authored comments and identity records), and clears local app data on this device. Shared projects you own are permanently deleted for all members after an explicit in-app warning. Projects where you are only a member remain available to other members after your membership is removed.

Deletion may take a short time to finish while Todoshi cleans up cloud data and revokes authentication. You can also sign out without deleting your account.

If deletion cannot be completed due to a network or authentication error, try again when you are online. Contact support if you need help with a deletion request.

Children

Todoshi is not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through a dedicated children’s experience.

Security

Todoshi uses platform and cloud-provider security controls intended to help protect user data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

You may contact Todoshi support regarding access to your data, correction, deletion, or other privacy questions. We will respond to reasonable requests consistent with applicable law and our technical capabilities.
